Today I am about to answer a question which hundreds of people have asked me in my workshops – “How do I Think Positive?”
Thoughts are made of Beliefs, in-fact a single Belief has the power to create thousands of new thoughts. So if you want to think positive then don’t waste your time in creating multiple positive thoughts simply create one Single Positive Belief and it will create thousands of positive thoughts for you.
Here are 2 simple steps to create a Single Positive Belief to create thousands of positive thoughts:
- Recognize an area where you think very negative (Work, Personal life, Relationships, etc)
- Now create one Single Positive Belief and repeat only this single belief multiple times in that area.
If you follow the above steps, in just 24 hours you will see how your Single Positive Belief will stop your negative thinking and start creating thousands of positive thoughts for you. Here is an example of how a Single Positive Belief had a great impact on my life:
When I was in school I had the good fortune of attending a great workshop called The Landmark Forum there I learnt one of the best Beliefs of my life “If people are upset that’s their emotional habit, if I am upset that’s my emotional habit”.
This meant that once we are habitual to feeling upset we find reasons and excuses to feel upset. Just like when a person gets habitual to drinking then they find reasons to drink. If its a happy moment they take it as a reason to drink, if its a sad moment they take it as a reason to drink. A friend of mine is so habitual to feeling small that if someone helps him, he feels small. If someone does not help him, even then he feels small. Because feeling small had become his emotional habit.
I learnt in Landmark Forum that if my Mother gets upset that’s her emotional habit and if I get upset for her, that’s my emotional habit and has nothing to do with my Mother’s emotions. This Belief was repeat a thousand times during that workshop in different ways and thus it is a Belief which I don’t doubt anymore. It is absolutely true for me.
Since then whenever people are upset I don’t get upset with them because my automatically says that Single Positive Belief “They are upset because of their own emotional habit, if i get upset that’s my emotional habit”
Its practically impossible to consciously think positive all the time that’s why people find positive thinking difficult. If you want to think positive then create a Single Positive Belief and it will create a thousand positive thoughts for you.
So if you truly want to start Positive Thinking then simply create a Single Positive Belief then see the magic of positive thinking happening in your life.
